If you’ve read any of my other posts you’d notice that I throw around the words, “Squad” and “team,” quite often. So again, my team is the group of 6 people that I will be living with and doing ministry alongside everyday. My team this month and for possible future months (depending on how well things work out), is the Gospel Girls.

HERE THEY ARE!!!!

Lauren Lutrell: Lauren is very good at staying calm and thinking things thoroughly before she expresses her thoughts. She also does very well at listening to others. These are wonderful qualities to have especially since she has been given the extra responsibilities of being our team leader! What does that mean you might ask? Basically, she will be in charge of carrying our team phone to make calls with the squad leaders (people who make sure we know what we are supposed to do) and the Adventures in Missions staff. She will also receive additional information about our ministry sites ahead of time so that we can communicate with our host and ask questions in order for things to run smoothly when we arrive. While there are many other responsibilities, we know Lauren has it covered. YOU ROCK LAUREN!!!

Amanda Blakely: Amanda just so happens to be from the Buckeye State like me! Go Bucks!!! With her strong and fearless personality she has taken on the role of being our logistics coordinator. She helps with booking our flights, arranging transportation between countries, booking hotels and hostels, organizing meeting locations for team debrief at the end of each month, and answering any questions we may have about travel days. LORD BLESS AMANDA, because if you know me you know that I don’t have a sense of direction and we would find ourselves in uncharted lands!

Abby Maston: Abby and I already got pretty familiar with living together. She was nice enough to share her tent with me the night my bags were taken at training camp. Abby just has a special way with words. Like no matter what she says you always seem to smile. Abby has been given the trustworthy role as our team treasurer! I couldn’t think of a better person on our team. She will be in charge of managing our teams budget for each month. She keeps spreadsheets of receipts from everything we spend that comes out of the budget. These purchases include, food, transportation, lodging or any supplies to help with ministry. KUDOS to Abby! If I were the team treasurer we’d be starving by week two.

Ashley Simmons: With her bright and cheerful character, it only seems fitting that she is the vlogger of the team! (I forgot the official job title) She is in charge of making sure that everyone on the team tries to update, blog, or vlog at least once a week. Check her out on YouTube as she captures what life is like living on The World Race. Hopefully she can give me a few pointers on vlogging! Ashley’s YouTube Channel

Elle Luly: I love this beautiful young lady! She has so much willingness in her heart to obey what the Lord is calling her to do. God is going to use her for so many amazing things this year. I cannot wait to spend these next 11 months with her. I promise by the end of this year she will finally enjoy one of my hugs! Haha!!!

So there you have it folks! You have finally met the Gospel Girls! Living with these remarkable women is going to be something I get to cherish for the rest of my life.

Also as a side note, God has blessed me with the position as one of the  SQUAD WORSHIP  COORDINATORS! God answers prayers! Only 24 days until Launch!
