I feel like writing about yourself is definitely a lot harder then it looks but here we go, so bare with me. My name is Hannah Eichstadt I am 18 years old but will be 19 in June. I live in Bemidji, Minnesota with my parents Heather and Eric and my three sisters Haley Mya and Meray. I became a follow of Christ when I was really little, but really started to love and understand him in 5th grade and haven’t let go of him since.
My plan for after high school was definitely not to do missions I wanted to go to college right away get a Molecular Genetics Degree, find a nice place to live, and move on with my life. But on December 22,2017 I was scrolling through Instagram passing the time by in class when I came across something called the World Race. I though “Wow! That is so cool they are traveling the world wile spreading the love of Jesus to people in need who may or may not have felt forgotten by the Lord”. After class I thought nothing of it, until I saw it again a few days later, then again, and again except this time I felt a tug on my heart that the Lord wanted me to go and felt like he was saying to me; “Sorry for ruing what you thought were your plans for after high school but let me tell you, I have something so much greater planned. Lets Go!” and the next thing I knew, I was applying for the world Race Gap Year. After a whole week of just constant prayer for the Lord to use me. On January 17,2018 I was accepted to go on the World Race Gap Year!
I know many of you are probably saying “Wow, that’s great! Good for you! Now what exactly is it?” Well let me explain! The World Race Gap Year is a 9 month mission trip to 4 countries across 3 contents, spreading the love and compassion of Jesus Christ to all of his people. I will be with a group of young adults ranging for the ages of 18-20 traveling to each country together. Over the course of 9 months we will be doing many things including: building churches, holding youth groups, teaching children English and Bible stories, providing food and building homes for the homeless, and so much more. Every day on the race will look a little different. And I truly feel the Lord is calling me to do great things through this trip that will carry on with me for the rest of my life. But in order to go I must raise $15,800, which does not include vaccinations and the gear I will need. Yes, I know that sounds like an impossible number, but I have my full trust in the Lord and know that he will provide me with anything that I may need along the way. With all that being said if you feel led to donate, please do so, or simply pray for me and my team as we get ready for this amazing walk with the Lord and that we reach our fundraising goals.
