we made it to Peru guys!
So we arrived to Lima, Peru on the 9th after traveling by bus for 36 hours. From that experience I would gladly tell you it’s something I would be happy to not have to do again haha. It was however a joy at times. Lots of good conversation and good naps.
After arriving, we took an Uber to our need home. The people were staying with are incredibly nice and sweet. We are really blessed to share so much time with them. This month will be filled with beach trips (we’re blocks from the beach), church ministry, working with kids, building relationships with college aged people, and working in an English classroom teaching English.
Our first full day in Lima we, of course went to the beach. We spent hours playing in the salt water as well as laying out on the rocks. Letting the sun and wind pass over us. It was so relaxing and peaceful.
The atmosphere here is so much better than I ever thought it would be. People of all kinds and cities with tall buildings. Also did I mention? Chinese food everywher! It has been a beautiful first few days here in Lima.
