We are starting our third week in Guatemala and so far its been amazing! Part of our ministry is doing house visits with the families of the kids at the school. Today was our first day, and it was so good! We went to four different houses to visit families. We had the opportunity to learn more about them and pray over them. It was so cool to see the kids recognize us and welcome us into their homes. We learned a lot about the families and what struggles they are going through. The community here is very big on relationships. Everyone was so quick to welcome us into their homes and were so nice to us even though we just met. One family knew we were coming and made us a cake!

After we finished talking to one family we were about to leave to go to another house and a lady across the street opened her door. I don’t think it was a house we planned to go to but she invited us in.  We started talking to her and her children and she shared with us how her husband was sick and it was really hard for her and that she has had to work in the dumps and has even had to get food there sometimes. But through all that she still said that God is faithful and good! Then we asked her if there was anything specific she needed prayer for. She told us that she couldn’t see very well. She said that she struggles to see things far away, but it was things really close to her that she couldn’t see. She couldn’t even read the shirt of someone standing right in front of her.

We asked if we could pray for her. As a team we prayed for healing over her and asked God to remove anything from her that wasn’t from him. After we prayed for her we asked her how she felt and she could read the shirt now! But she said it wasn’t completely clear. So we prayed for her again. As we were praying for her I could feel something in my eyes, something I really can’t describe. I’ve never experienced it before, but I knew God was going to heal her.  We asked her how she felt and she just started crying. She could read the shirt and see clearly!!

This was the first healing I’ve seen. She told us sometimes when your faith is weak God will send you certain people to make it stronger. This was definitely God working through her we were just being obedient to where he called us. What a good day!

GOD IS SO GOOD!!
