So, my team decided to individually ask the LORD for a word for 2020. I’ve never done a word for the year before, so I’m still trying to figure it out. My word for this year is ‘Sustain’ (or ‘Sustained in Me’). The definition of sustain is to “strengthen or support physically or mentally”. When I think about that being my word/phrase I think about God saying that He will sustain me. Like the verse “Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.” Psalm 55:22 ESV (Also, Psalm 23 as He is my Sherperd) So, God will strengthen or support me physically and/or mentally this year. He will help me through whatever is to come. I guess an example of Him sustaining me this year already; would be when the last of my funds for fundraising came in the very first week of this year! I have no idea what this year has in store for me, but whatever it is, He will be with me. He will help me through it. I know that God already does this, but I feel like it’s a reminder for me this year. A reminder that He is there for me and always will be no matter what.
