So you guys know how God has a sense of humor, right? Well, in my second-to-last blog post, I wrote my blog about our ministry “Agape Home” and the very. next. day. my team and I were told that we were changing ministries! Like, come on! Honestly, I did not take it very well. I loved what I was doing at Agape. I knew that it will be easier/better for a couple of my teammates; that was one of the main things that pulled me through. The next day was orientation at the new ministry. During my devotional time that morning, God told me “Trust my choice of this ministry. Yes, it’s your first day, but just see how it goes.” So I did. Orientation went well and after we had our second workday, I was feeling a lot better about our new ministry.

Our new ministry is working with orphan kids at a foster home called “Connie’s Home”. They take in the sick kids from the hospital and make sure that they fully recover and keep them till they’re adopted. All the kids that they have are ready for international adoption. (You can learn more about Connie’s Home at their website: https://soworldwide.org/thailand-connies-home/) There are two groups: little kids ages one to two and the older kids ages three to eleven. Since they’re foster kids I can’t take any pictures with their faces to show you, which is extremely sad since they are stinkin’ cute! My first week was with the younger kids, so extreme cuteness overload! Their schedule starts with us getting there at around nine a.m. and they have outside time for an hour –> snacktime –> playtime –> an “English lesson” (reading a couple of books and playing with special toys) –> lunchtime around eleven-thirty –> a movie –> a two-hour nap time with a sippy cup of milk –> playtime –> and finally another “English lesson” right before we leave around four-thirty p.m.

Despite not being able to get any pictures of their faces there are pictures! A lot of the pictures are from Lily & Emma, so thank you guys!!!!!!

This past week I was with the older kids. Their schedule starts similar to the littles with us getting there at around nine a.m. and they have outside time for an hour –> snacktime –> playtime –> an English lesson in whatever topic is for that day (ex. science, history, math, etc.) –> lunchtime around twelve –> a movie –> a two-hour nap time –> playtime –> and another English lesson right before we leave around four-thirty p.m.
