PLEASE READ: As usual, I’ve put together a photo blog from my month in Cambodia. This month, I have also created a second, more sensitive photo album.

Last month, I had the privilege of visiting the S21 Genocide prison and the Killing Fields of Cambodia. If you’re under the age of 40, there’s a good chance that you have no idea what these are, we sure didn’t.  From 1975-1979, the Khmer rouge ruled over Cambodia and killed almost half of its population. They imprisoned their own people, starved them, worked them to death, and even tortured them. A large portion of Cambodia is now mass graves, and the jungles are still filled with active landmines that cause fatalities to this day. I struggled with wanting to write a blog about the things I learned and saw this past month but I didnt have the words to honor these people the way they deserved so I’m leaving you with photos.

DISCLAIMER: The photos from the prison and the killing fields may be too graphic for some.
