SUPPORT LETTER!

Dear Friends and Family,
 
I want to share with you something exciting going on in my life! On October 26, 2009 the Lord laid the “World Race” mission program on my heart. Thinking it would be impossible for me to go on such a trip, I quickly pushed it aside. In March last year, I read the book Kisses from Katie by Katie Davis and a flame re-sparked in me as I read about her willingness to sacrifice and serve in Uganda. God stirred my heart to start serving right here by giving away things I didn’t need and focusing on others needs instead of my own. Now, three years after feeling that first tug on my heart to go, I have finally decided to stop resisting the call.
 
I’m pleased to announce I will be serving as a missionary through Adventures in Missions (AIM), in their World Race program, an 11 month Christian mission trip to 11 different countries around the world! In September 2013, I’m heading out with just a backpack and my team to Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, China, Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, India, Nepal, Romania, and Ukraine. We will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children who are trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the restoration and hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations.
 
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to set aside everything I thought my life was about and pursue the One who created me as He allows me to be His hands, feet and voice to people around the world who are desperate for even a glimmer of hope. It will be one of the most challenging things I’ll ever do, but I’m so excited to let my light shine for Jesus in some of the darkest places of the world while being challenged and changed into the woman God desires me to be.
 
God has opened this door and I know He will provide for my needs! My desire to serve Christ in this capacity is a result of all of you sharing in my life, encouraging me to pursue His higher calling. I want to go on this race representing the people who have made me who I am. So I'm asking you to help me make this a reality. Will you consider partnering prayerfully and financially with me in this mission?
 
I must raise $15,500 in order to go on the World Race, which covers all of my expenses on the field. If 85 people pledge $15 a month for 12 months, I would have 100 percent of the funds necessary for my trip. Financial support can be given as a one-time gift or as a monthly donation. Any donation, larger or smaller is greatly appreciated.

Please make checks payable to Adventures in Missions and return the response card with your donation using the pre-addressed envelope provided. AIM will send you a receipt for your donation. I can’t wait to see how God will move in my life and in the lives of others in the coming year. I hope not only to be a blessing to those I serve, but also to you.
