We went to an orphanage today to tell the children about the Gospel of Jesus’ redeeming love and to encourage them to pray and seek the Lord while at such a young age. After sharing the Gospel with them we played games and were able to interact with them. The orphanage is run by the government. Zambia is a Christian nation so there are church services held at the orphanage village despite being government run; these children are able to get fed spiritually. They have 179 orphans and they have had the orphanage for four years. The ministry we went with is able to visit the children twice a month and in April they are planning to have a camp for them in hopes of bringing them closer to the Lord. All of the children are under 18 years of age. The ministry that reaches out to these children is planning to start a skills-trade program for the older young adults in areas such as carpentry and other trades. Then, when they turn 18, they will be able to get a good job. It was so wonderful to be able to visit this orphanage and to see all of their smiling faces!

School time!

These children are joyful!
