Greetings!
They told us to be flexible while on the World Race, which is something I’ve learned at Friend Ships. We were meant to be at our ministry contact site already; however, we are not there yet. For the past four days we have been traveling by planes, buses and taxis, going through borders and sleeping in airports as well as hostels along the way with usually only one meal a day; I enjoy eating, so that’s been hard! We’ve been experiencing true African culture. We have one more 8 hour bus ride tomorrow and then we will be to our ministry contact in Livingstone, Zambia.
It has been so hard for me to be patient as I like to jump in and work and get things done. We’ve had so many opportunities to show simply Christ’s love toward people we have come in contact; sharing the Lord’s love by our actions.
Recently, while riding in a bus through Zambia and looking at the goats and others animals roaming freely, I was telling a friend that Jesus often used animals in parables because people of that culture could understand it. In third world countries when an owner calls their animals, the animals come to them because they know their voice. Pretty cool. Jesus wants us to know Him so intimately that we also know His voice when He calls us.
A reminder to everyone, that during the month of January, a generous supporter is matching dollar-for-dollar every financial gift that comes in. I’m trusting God for $3,500 which is due in less than 3 months. Please help me reach this goal.
Thank you all for your prayers. I do get free in-coming texts while overseas and would love to hear from you (however, please don’t ask questions because I can’t send a text back)! Blessings.
