Training camp. Wow. Where do I even begin?
These past 10 days have been filled with laughter, crying, lack of sleep, hunger, and so much joy. Training Camp pushed me out of my comfort zone in every way imaginable and I am so thankful.
Just like every racer, I scoured the internet for anything and everything I could find on what to expect when I arrived for TC. But, there were no blog posts or videos that could have ever prepared me for what God was going to do in my life this past week. He tore my walls down and showed me His love and grace in ways I could never imagine.
I learned that vulnerability is key. It is so hard to be open, but so worth it. God is able to do amazing things if only we open up our hearts to Him and others.
I learned that community has the power to draw you to Christ. Having a community that is willing to challenge you and your faith is one of the best things in the world. I have had the privilege of getting to know 49 people who I can call my squad mates and travel with for a year. How cool is it that I get to call them my brothers and sisters in Christ?!
On a smaller scale, I have a team of myself and 6 other women who I will be doing ministry with for the first few months. They are beautiful, amazing, godly women who I would like to introduce you to.

I absolutely can not wait to start ministry with my squad and team in 6 weeks! But, for now, I am trying to stay focused in the present.
“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” Matthew 6:34 ESV
Lastly, my squad was blessed with 12 amazing people who made up our training team. They poured into our lives everyday and impacted us in ways they probably will never fully know. They spoke so much life into us when we didn’t know what to do or say. So, thank you to Katie, Justin, Ashley, Alys, Casey, Ruanne, Dan, Lindsey, Courtney, Jamie, Daniel, and Stacy.
