16,273.00. That is a lot of money right there. It is a staggering price for a mission trip. I know you are all thinking it. I was thinking it too, until I learned what all the money for this trip is going towards. This money covers most of my expenses for close to a year! It includes:
Plane Tickets: Plane tickets to and from 3 different continents!
Other Transportation costs: I can’t tell you what that is going to be. But I am sure it will include trains, buses, travel guides, bikes, ect. Whatever gets us to where we are going.
Travel Insurance: VERY important and something I would have had no clue how to set up on my own. I feel very blessed that this is one thing I do not have to worry about.
Visas: A different visa is needed for a few of the countries we need to enter. These can be expensive so it is reassuring to know that they are already covered.
Food: VERY VERY necessary! This money is put toward the amount of food that as a team we will be paying each week.
With all of that in mind, I have a fundraiser to present.
I would love to take all credit for this AMAZING idea, but all the calculations and planning came from my squad-mate Ben!
If you break down the total cost of the trip it comes to 50.00 a day. I think that makes this trip seem a lot more “do–able”. So you have the opportunity to buy a day on the race with me!
For a 50.00 donation you can pick any day, September 2015-July 2016 to spend a day on the race with my team! It can be a special day for you, a holiday, or any random day you desire. Just let me know the date you would like, I will write the date down and when that day rolls around I will send you a email about the country/area we are currently staying, what my team did that day, and what God has been teaching us! I will make the email as detailed as I can and hopefully I can include some pictures for you too! With a little imagination on your part, its like you are there with me!
