Hello Everyone!

Before I even start I have two things I need to share with you.

First: I just want to say how blessed I feel to have this opportunity to reach so many people. I can’t wait to share with you all what God is doing in my life AND the lives of people that we come in contact with this yearThis trip scares and excites me in so many different ways. God is definitely pulling me out of my comfort zone and I am so excited to see how God uses us to bring honor to his kingdom.

Second: This is my first blog I have written. EVER. Would you believe that the second my mobilizer told me she had set up my blog I went online and googled, “How to Blog”.  Google may be good for a lot of different things, but my search came up pretty empty, so I am just going to write.

This is me.

I’m Hannah Peachey! I am 21 years old

I am from Belleville Pennsylvania, which is a tiny farming/Amish community. It is located in a beautiful valley smack dab in the middle of PA. It really is a gorgeous place and I am still toying with the idea of staying forever.

My family is #1. Everyone always says that their families are the best. But I would not trade my family for the world. We’re not perfect. Far from it. But we love each other unconditionally. I would not be where I am today without my parents, big brothers, their wives, and my little sister. I am including my friends in this too because they are pretty much my family. I love you guys!

I graduate in May from Mount Aloysius College with a degree in Medical Imaging/Ultrasonography. Big word meaning if the doctor orders you to get an ultrasound I will be there with my little transducer to do it! Andcontrary to popular belief, we do not just scan babies all day long. (But that is my favorite part!)

I am from a Mennonite Church, and PROUD OF IT! I have the most amazing church family. I am so blessed by them and I could not be doing this without their support. For those of you who don’t know, we do drive in cars, listen to music and watch TV. Get with the times. I did read an article recently explaining that Mennonites are pretty much hipsters. I’m not sure where they are getting that information but I like their line of thinking!

I do aawesome voice impersonation of Stitch. (That little blue alien from Disney)

Speaking of Disney, I love it. It is pure magic.

Technology is not my strong point. We don’t get along. At all. Did I mention this is my third time typing this blog!? For some reason every time technology and I get together, something ends up broken or terribly messed up.

My favorite books of the Bible are James and Ephesians. They are tiny but they are packed full of conviction and encouragement! I can always finds special nuggets of truth that I need.

I do not try new things often, this trip is a huge leap of faith. I have this picture in my head of God  sitting up there in heaven amused by this whole thing. But I know this is where he is calling me, it is taking a lot of trust, but God wants to use us in awesome ways! So I am trusting in him.

A few of my favorite things:

Peanut butter. Hedgehogs. Field Hockey. Movie Previews. Barnes & Noble. Long phone calls. Videos of people falling. Square Dancing. Naps. Cereal, any kind, any time, any place. Honey Mustard Pretzels. Pinterest. The Avengers. Fun Facts. Breakfast Food. Harry Potter.

So up in the right hand corner you will see a tab that says Follow Me. If you click on that you can subscribe to my blog and get updates from me about what I am doing while I am miles and miles away. Right below that is a tab that says Sponsor Me. This tab will take you directly to a page where you can donate to me! I know God can make this trip happen but I am counting on all of you as well! Below that, there is a tab that says Tell a Friend. If you know anyone who would be interesting in what I am doing or even the World Race in general I would LOVE to talk to them. I would love to get the word out to as many people as possible.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

                     With Love,

                            Hannah
