Hi everyone! As you many of know I have been back in the states for just over a month. I hope to post a blog soon about transitioning and my time at the June 2010 and July 2010 World Race training camp. But, today I wanted to share about the exciting opportunities God has given for the upcoming months. Starting June 13th I will be working at Camp Pecometh in Centreville, Maryland as a camp counselor. I have always wanted to spend a summer working at a camp, so I figured, why not now! Three of my former World Race Mighty DUCKS teammates will be working there as well: Kel Rampmeyer, Trish Stratton, and Erin Neufeld! This makes camp even more appealing to me. Funny side note: I don’t have a car and therefore my mom has to drive me to summer camp….hahaha….I feel like a camper, not a counselor!

The beginning of September I will be leading a missions trip with AIM through their Real Life program. Real Life is designed for missions-minded college-aged individuals (ages 18 – 22). The fall trips are all just under 3 months long and travel to locations such as Kenya, Hong Kong, and Brazil. Each Real Life trip works with local missionaries, ministries, and churches to serve the surrounding community and bring Kingdom and God’s love to all they meet. I am incredibly excited for this chance to lead a group of individuals passionate about God and missions! And I need your help (again!). Within the past year God provided $14,000 for me to participate in the World Race and I am confident He can provide again for this Real Life trip. I will need approximately $3,000 before I leave early September- that is significantly less then what I needed for the World Race! Please prayerfully consider supporting me- any amount truly does help. You can donate by clicking on the Support Me! link on the left. This link brings you to a page where you can support me online and also has instructions for supporting via mail. Even if you can’t financially support me please keep me in your prayers! This is needed just as much! Hopefully in the coming weeks I will have more information about the trip I will be leading, but until then check out the Real Life page: http://www.adventures.org/a/trips/rlcontact.asp

I am so excited for this summer and fall! While on the World Race God began to increase my passion for discipleship and the importance of sharing what God has done in my life. Both camp and Real Life provide me the chance to lead, disciple, and share- 3 things I know God has been putting on my heart. Big things are going to happen this summer and fall; I am so thankful to be a part of it!
Thank you for all your support that enabled me to go on the World Race! God used that trip in my life in HUGE ways! Keep on praying!
