Hello friends, family, and faithful readers!  I am writing to make an announcement!  I am going to Uganda this summer!  Wahoooooooo!

I will be spending 2 months this summer in Uganda with Real Life, the college age program through Adventures in Missions!  I spent 11 weeks in Kenya back last fall with this program and I loved it.  The term “super excited” does not properly express just how pumped I am for this summer; to work with Real Life again and to be heading back to Africa!  AH!  I am so so so blessed!  I have to be God’s favorite if He is sending me back to Africa, right?  Some of you may know this already but I LOVE Africa.  There is just something about Africa that grabs me.  I can’t fully explain it or put into words what I mean.  You just have to experience it for yourself.  Wherever I have been in Africa, I have felt this beating in my heart, this feeling of home, this hope and love I can’t contain.  And there is SO MUCH need in all of Africa.  Every country.  I really love this opportunity and I am truly blessed.

Besides blessing me with a chance to go to Uganda, God has also been providing for me like CRAZY recently!  The last time I updated everyone on my support raising I needed $2,650 to reach my goal of $3,000.  Well, in the past week and a half God has brought in over $1,000!  Which means, I only need about $1300!  He is just so good to me.  I am still overwhelmed when I think about His continued love and faithfulness.  Thank you to everyone who has supported me in financial donations, prayer and words of encouragement!  Last week I was ready to back out of leading a trip this summer.  I didn’t know where for sure I was going yet, I didn’t have much money in my support account (or my back account), and I was feeling confused about the next step.  I was literally walking to my mailbox and talking to God about the summer.  I said to Him “I guess I am not meant to lead a trip this summer.”  I get the mail and there is a $200 check from someone I’ve never met before.  !!!!!  That has NEVER happened to me before.  I cried a little!  And that really was just the beginning of His faithfulness!  Within the next 24 hours He had also provided me a car, a few hours of work, and another $500 from people I’ve never met!  He blows my mind!

Please continue to pray for my finances, that the whole $3000 will come in by June 1st!  This money goes towards the cost of the trip as well as my flights to/from Atlanta (which is where we launch), malaria medications, and travelers insurance.  I KNOW God will bring it in!  How can I doubt Him now?!  If you are interested in giving, please click on the Support Me link on the left.  If you would like to give by mail, please make check payable to Adventures In Missions, PO Box 534470, Atlanta, GA 30353-4470.  Write Hannah Olsen in the memo line.  I have about 3 weeks until I head out of MA- and God can do so much in 3 weeks!

It has been a long, patient road, waiting to see where God was going to
send me these past few months.  Patience is not something that comes easy to me!  But, I knew God would send me where He wanted me.  Last night I prayed “God, please have an email waiting for me
when I wake up that states where I am going this summer…..”  And He
did! Literally, I woke up, checked my email and there it was.  🙂   So today is truly a great day!  Thank you so much for reading and praying!
