So, I know I have not been the best about blogging ..family, friends, and supporters, you have my apologies 🙂 But no worries, in this here blog I am going to fill you in on all the beauty and life and ministry of this amazing month that I have been so richly blessed with in Honduras.
So without further adieux ..
My first month on the race is drawing to a close and I have completely fallen in love with Honduras. So many beautiful people and mind blowing experiences and it's only month one!

We are doing ministry with this guy named Tony from Utah, Tony from Utah is the bomb. He has only been living in Honduras for 4 years and now lives on what use to be the hottest night club in Tegucigalpa and has turned it into a Church and home for the incredible Honduran boys that God has placed in His life. The amount of work that has been accomplished on the property is truly amazing. Tony has taken in 7 Honduran boys who were all addicted to paint thinner and other various drugs and is now discipling them and loving them as if they were his own. These boys are so absolutely amazing and I wish I could tell you all of their stories but I think this blog would end up turning into a chapter book. I will say that these boys have touched all of G-squads life in so many ways and I will truly never forget their impact in my life.
And the dumps ..

This was truly a mind blowing experience. Just imagine hundreds of people and vultures digging through miles upon miles of trash to collect recycling goods to sustain their lives. This experience is hard for me to explain. These people were beautiful and I instantly fell in love with each and every one of them. Their lives I don’t think are defined by their occupation, I think they are more so defined by the beauty of the fact that they were made in the image of their Creator and are simply looking for realness in life just like you and me. They were beautiful.
And also INFA ..

INFA is a home for girls ranging from 5 to 15 that were taken off the streets. This truly was a beautiful experience and just about every time we went there I was brought to tears at the roughness yet sweetness of these young girls and also at the Body coming together to bring them just a glimmer of light to their week. The beauty of the Holy Spirit that binds 57 people together completely blows my mind and brings my heart to compassion that is so precious. I was truly touched by this part of my month and I am convinced that it’s because God has completely taught my heart to love in new ways that I didn’t even know I was capable of.
And then Los Pinos ..

So, Los Pinos is where most of the boys that now live with Tony use to live. Los Pinos was a beautiful and semi-dangerous experience and one that I will never forget. Myself and two other girls on my team kind of got of attacked but it was the strangest thing, non of us felt fear when this guy tried to steel my teammates camera by way of force. He came up to us and tried to snatch the camera out of Megan’s hand and they had a bit of a tug of war battle for the camera. And then what I thought was my other teammate, Brandy, shoved him off and he just kind of gave up and walked away. Later I found out that Brandy wasn’t actually with us and it was just myself, Megan, Mary ..and an angel? It was a crazy experience and one that I still don’t think I have fully processed yet. It was incredible to say the least.

This experience has truly been incredible and I will cherish every second that I have spent here in Honduras for the rest of my life. The beauty of the Body of Christ continues to break my heart and brings me to such levels of compassion and love that I never knew I was capable of. I am so unbelievably grateful for this experience and can’t even begin to imagine all that I am going to learn in the months to come.
