This was supposed to be the last post I made from actual US soil, but it didn’t quite get in on time. Things did not go as planned, which seems to be a reoccurring thing that happens on the Race.
So, this post is in the tense of pre-Albania.
I am currently sitting on a plane next to an extremely awesome lady. We’re flying from Atlanta to Chicago. The World Race is actually happening for me! This flight is the start of my 3 day trip to Albania. It’s so surreal to be in this moment. I’m happy. I’m overwhelmed. I’m confident this is the right place for me to be.
It was very difficult saying goodbye to my family and friends, but even through the tearful, “See you later,” I felt His peace. It truly was a peace that surpasses all my understanding.
During our few days in Atlanta, the Lord challenged me. I’d like to share this with you now. I was sitting in worship with my whole squad. Usually I am all in to worship. I love to sing and hear others cry out to the Lord through song. This worship time was a little different for me. I knew the Lord was trying to get my attention. So, I sat down, put my head down and listened as best as I could. I heard Him call me, “Beloved.” I could tangibly feel His love behind this one word. Beloved. After that, He challenged me…like any good Father would. He said this,
“I want to take you deeper! Will you go?
Will you not only go, but will you jump WITHOUT looking?
Do you trust me?
This will be challenging.
I’m not going to try to convince you to come on the journey, I want you to WANT to come.
So, what do you say? Hannah, do you trust me?
Do you believe that I am going to work through you?
Do you believe that lives can be changed through you?
Do you trust in me that much?
Do you want to go on MY World Race?
If you’re ready, don’t hold back.
Dive in.
Head first.
I’ll break your fall.
EVERY TIME.”
I was in awe of this word, this letter. I love that He trusts me even when I don’t know all of the answers. He believes in me enough to equip me. I think this word can be for all of us. Do you trust Him enough to actually go on the journey He has called you on?
I believe and trust that the Lord has called me come on this adventure of the World Race. Now, I’m taking the challenge. I’m trusting Him enough to dive deeper.
I hope you can take the challenge to dive deeper too!
Now, we’ve made it to Albania!! We love it here!! Our host is awesome & spoiling us! 🙂
