I yearn so deeply for truth and only truth be made known. Today as I wait in the bus station for the next bus to take us to our next country I think about the next person who is going to come through those doors. I dream about them knowing Jesus and the Truth that He carries. I pray that lies that have been spoken over them would hold nothing to the Truth that brings salvation.
I was processing today how easy it is to get our eyes off Jesus and allow our minds to be filled with information that is still truth yet distracts from who we serve and who we are in relation to Him. The only knowledge we need to have is that there is an eternity awaiting us. An eternity of either Heaven or Hell. We are sinners serparted from life with The Living God. God is just and mericful. We deserve an eternity in Hell but because of His great mercy He sent Jesus Christ to take our sin upon His shoulders. Again restoring us to Him. And through faith in His death and resurection we can have assurance of knowing we get to spend an eternity worshipping and serving Him. Apart from that knowledge, we need nothing else. All knowledge and revelation God gives us beyond that is a gift. A huge gift. A gift that leads us to knowing Him better and loving Him more.
And yet it is so easy to get caught up in trying to figure out minute details instead of pressing in to who God is. Who Jesus Christ is. His character. His being.
I have talked to so many people on the Race who are caught up in the lies. They can quote the truth to me but have no understanding or concept that in order to truly be saved we have to stand in agreement with God that we are sinners. And that without Jesus Christ we have no hope.
My heart hurts so deeply for these people. It makes me so sad knowing that many will call upon the name of the Lord and yet few will be welcomed into His kingdom.
It is days like today that I praise the Lord that He has had mercy on me and allowed me to love Him so much. Apart from His grace, I have no ability to have faith in Him. It is a gift. A gift that I treasure down in the depths of my soul.
Friends, are you willing to examine your soul to the depths? Do you know the truth of who you are apart from Jesus Christ? Do you know who you can be with Him? There is so much hope and freedom in the name of Jesus. I pray “that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in knowledge of Him, having the eyes of your heart enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which He has called you, what are the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power toward us who believe according to the working of His great might.”
