Team Impression
"You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts."
-2 Corinthians 3:3

One of the most exciting parts about training camp is when teams are formed. Living in a tight community is one of the things that I am most excited about and one of the reasons I chose to do the World Race. However, it is important to remember that living in community is not always easy. There are times when we won’t get along. There will be times I want to be alone. Learning how to navigate these times is critical.
During training camp we found out that one of the ways that we can stay healthy, as a team is feedback. We have to be open and honest with each other about what we see happening in each others lives, and learn how to grow ourselves.
Let’s get real. This is HARD.
In today’s society we are trained to think that confrontation is bad. If you talk about your feelings then you are weak. If you speak up you could hurt someone’s feelings. Don’t show your true colors because someone may not accept you. We have forgotten how to communicate.
I believe our families and communities are suffering from a lack of feedback. Nobody wants to talk about what they see in each other’s lives. We would rather live a complacent life than disrupt our comforts. Being pushed out of my comfort zone is going to be a big part of the Race.
Please begin to pray for me and my team. That we would embrace feedback. That we would continually seek after God. That we would become comfortable with each other. That we would meet our financial deadlines.

I am so incredibly excited to serve with this amazing group of people! While I may not know them very well yet, I do know that we will become family soon. I am also sure that they will be mentioned in my future blogs. Be sure to check out their blogs, you can find links to them towards the bottom of the left hand side of this page.
