First, I want to apologize for not blogging very much recently. The past two weeks have been a whirlwind. First my team had a 7 hour bus ride to Bangkok for LDW (a time for our squad to all come together–and we also said goodbye to our alumni SQLs) and we were there for two days.
Then my logistics partner Matthew and I and our raised up SQL’s were in charge of getting 51 people to our FIRST EUROPEAN COUNTRY on our Race: Albania!
Here was our travel day break-down:
-40 hours
-4 countries: Thailand, India, Italy, Albania
-3 flights
-51 people
-8 hours of sleep during this time
Although, we did get a 12 hour layover in Rome! All of our squad went out. I went with two girls from my team and another girl from my squad and we went to see the Colosseum, ate pizza down the road from it, explored Rome, got gelato, and then saw the Trevi Fountain.
Thankfully we reached Albania in one piece. However, the first two days we were here I got 12-14 hours of sleep a night because I was so far behind AND I was sick. Thankfully, I got to go to a Christian clinic and the doctor told me he thinks I have bronchitis–but he couldn’t give me really anything to get rid of it.
Also, this month my team Pearls is partnering with another team on our squad called Relentless. We are living together, serving together, and more. Normally it is one team per ministry site, but our host requested two teams because they are doing so much around here. Which is another reason I haven’t blogged: We have been very busy with ministry our host has set up for us as well as ministry that God has given us. More to come, but needless to say I have fallen in love with Eastern Europe again.
