Well, it’s that time again. Time to pack it all up and move on to my next “home”. When you think about it, it’s quite funny that I have no idea where I will rest my head on Saturday night. Coming into this month it was the same way, though, and this place has really become home to me. The people here – the Wamalwa family – have become family to me. There are 20 people living in this house and they are all beautiful people!
Meet the family!

Really quickly and very randomly, anytime someone asks me what kind of superpower I would like to have I always tell them – teleportation. That would certainly make travel days a bit easier, even if they would be much less exciting. Once, Sachi (Sarah Ruplinger) and I decided we would just teleport home, sleep in our own beds and come right back fully rested – the only problem was that the time difference threw us off. Anyhow, back to my point (I actually have one).
If you all could somehow get the superpower of teleportation and get over here for dinner one night, you would be amazed by this wonderful family. I love that I am able to experience all of these new opportunities and to meet such genuine people along the way, I only hate that you guys back home cannot shake their hands, hear their laughter and understand their stories. They certainly are an enormous blessing.
I know that this family, this home, and this country will truly be missed. Kenya has been a good place of personal growth and a nice place of rest as well. I thank God for this fifth month on the Race and I trust that he has good in store for the next six months as well.
As far as travel plans, the team is hitting the bus station at 6:30am Friday morning. We’ll take a 2.5 hr. bus ride to Busia, where we’ll meet up with the entire squad before leaving for Kigali, Rwanda. Please pray for our travel (early Friday morning – late Saturday night). Also, please continue to pray for Moses and Rosalyn’s family here in Kitale. I’ll update you soon from Rwanda! Merry Christmas!
