I can't believe it's been 3 months since I left America! Time has certainly gone by quickly as we are now heading into our 4th month of ministry in Katmandu, Nepal. This past week I spent time with the entire squad up in the northern part of India as we had a mini-debrief. Our new squad leaders were raised up and are taking the reigns for the rest of the Race. Congratulations to Jason Hillborn, Michelle Soroka and Bri Bollinger – our new squad leaders!
As a result of three teams having their leaders raised up there were three new team leaders raised up and some changes in teams. My old team, Rise Up, was split into 5 different teams. I am now on a team with Stephanie Chan, Talitha Rankel, Brandon Forshall, Ben Friedman and Taryn Neurohr is our leader. We are called "Deep Roots" and have a vision for our team of going deeper with the Lord in prayer and scripture. It has been a week of heartache and excitement. I absolutely LOVE Team Rise Up and will certainly continue to pray for and keep in touch with each of my family members from that group. At the same time I have a new expectancy and hope for Team Deep Roots.

This month we will be working close to Katmandu, Nepal with a non-Christian orphanage. I know what you're thinking…was that a typo? Non- Christian? Yes. That's what I thought at first too. But what better place to show the love of Christ than one with lives who have never heard that he died for them! We will be working with children or doing manual labor around the house…either way we have already committed as a team to work so hard to show Jesus in our lives. We may not be allowed to openly preach Christ, but there is a light inside that will not be dimmed or extinguished and it is waiting to flood the entire city of Katmandu with its rays of hope.
This litte light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine! And you know what? It's not a little light!! I have a raging forest fire living in me in the form of the Holy Spirit and I sometimes forget thinking that it's a small match light. Pray that God would set Team Deep Roots on fire as we minister in a dark place this month. Pray that people are drawn to the flame with a great desire for the Truth. Please just pray for the nations and the name of Jesus Christ as it continues to spread around the globe.
