My name is Hannah Dagenhart. I'm 22 years old and I graduated from Gardner-Webb University in May. My home is in a small town called Stony Point, right next to Statesville, North Carolina. I have two older brothers and one younger brother, so sports are a part of my life. I enjoy watching and playing most sports, especially volleyball and basketball. Church has also been a huge part of my life and I thank my parents for teaching me about the love of Christ at a very young age.
For as long as I can remember, my family has gone to church. We are involved in different areas of ministry and have many friends through our local church body. All of these things are great, but it was when I was in 7th grade that I began to realize that no matter how many services I attended, or youth events I loved, I was still in need of rescuing. Even though I was a "good kid" who made decent grades and excelled on the court, I hadn't come to realize my sin and my need of a savior. That year, I believed that Jesus was the Son of God and that it was through Him that I could find hope and reconciliation, forgiveness and a purpose for life. Now, so many years later, I am still learning what it means to follow Christ. He has become my purpose and my life and I continue to realize that He is the only thing worth living for.
As this journey continues, I'm following him one step at a time. Five years ago, I felt a call to missions. At the time I didn't know what it meant, but I was obedient to acknowledge that call. I still don't know exactly, but I know that He has called me to share His Name and His Glory with the nations through the World Race. Where I end up after that and what I spend my life for depends on His leading. So now that you know a little of my spiritual journey; here are some other fun things about me.
