I’m going to be completely blunt with you.
It’s easy to ask for money when it’s for a mission trip. Though it wasn’t my favorite thing, I had no problem asking you to help fund my race. People like to give to that sort of cause. It means their money is going to aid in spreading the gospel. It’s going to extend love to an orphan. It’s going to help build a school for kids in Africa.
What is not so easy… is for me, that same missionary, to ask for money… for me.
I am nine months into my race, nearing the end of this journey that you all so graciously and generously joined with me to fund and again it comes to this statement:
I need your help.
You see, God has told me that my journey, is not going to be over in two months. It will not be over when I board a plane from Romania to America. It will not even be over when I am once again in my parent’s house, readjusting to life at home.

In short, in September… just a month after I return to the States… I will be moving to Gainesville, GA to attend something called The Center for Global Action. I will be living in community with other alumni racers, working as an apprentice in a department of Adventures in Missions, and attending discipleship classes in the evenings. God has asked me to trust in His faithfulness and provision again. And I’m excited. I want to have faith like Abraham, like Noah, like Paul. I want the faith I have now to be stretched. I want to live a life of complete dependence on God… in America.
I won’t be living out of a backpack. I won’t be seeing the world. I won’t be loving on Indian orphans. But I will be following God. I will be serving Him and serving people just like me as they go on their Kingdom Journey. As they love on those orphans and share the love of God to the nations.
But again, I need your help.
