As we approached our time in Australia, I was a little nervous about the idea of sharing the month with another team. I mean, I love our squad…  but I just started to really get to know my wonderful teammates and quite frankly, I was being a little selfish about the whole thing.

But since we got to Darwin, this opportunity has been nothing but a blessing. Our two teams couldn't mesh together more perfectly.

Whether we are working side by side with them, worshiping, swimming in the pool (Oh yeah, we have a pool), or just sitting together and talking… the Lord continues to confirm that He put us together for a reason

Without further delay:
Meet Team Joyful Feet:

Left to Right: Kaleena, Alicia (leader), Libby, Tim, Tyler, Raven, and Ryan

Now, let me tell you a few things I've learned during my first week in Australia:

-They actually don't like it when we call it "The Land Down Under." Though we don't mean it to be, they see it as arrogant. As if we are saying we are above them in some way.

-I love their accents. I mean, I already knew this… but seriously. I want to talk like an Australian.

-They love Vegemite here. I, on the other hand, do not. Seriously, so gross.

-Sunglasses = "Sunnys"
McDonalds = "Maccas"
Thanks = "Cheers, mate"
Good for you = "Good on ya"

-YWAM is seriously the bomb. This place and these people are such a blessing.

-This place is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. It has made my top ten list, for sure.

-I love my Eno (hammock)

-The best part of the day is breakfast/quiet time in the mornings… there's no competition for those precious moments in my Eno (see above) with the Lord.

Oh, and obviously… Emily Hartman is the coolest person I know.

More later, mates.
