Well, here we are. Month nine is coming to a close. Can you believe it? In just a few short days we will be on a plane, headed to Ukraine.
This month we lived in a town called Morogoro, Tanzania. We spent our days teaching computer classes and attending church services. It was a pretty low key month. We had plenty of time to bond as a team. At the beginning on the month we had another team change. In Kenya we said goodbye to Jessica and Laura. We welcomed Celeste, making us a team of six! This team has been great. After one month we feel like a family, watching movies together, talking about life, staying up late into the night laughing about nothing. It really was a great month for Team D'artagnan.
This month I celebrated my twenty-second birthday! We celebrated with cake and movie and my team showered me in gifts and love all day long! It was pretty great.

Yesterday, as I sat in church I was overwhelmed with thankfulness. Honestly, the past few months have been rough. But as I sat, thinking back on the past nine months, I was blown away by all of the blessings God has given me. I have had the opportunity to meet so many people, to live life with them, to share the love of Christ with them. And oh, how they have blessed me, teaching me about faith and joy. About discipline and following the Spirit. To every person I met this year… I am blessed to know you. You will always hold a very special place in my heart.
In September… just a month after I return to the States… I will be moving to Gainesville, GA to attend something called The Center for Global Action. I will be living in community with other alumni racers, working as an apprentice in a department of Adventures in Missions, and attending discipleship classes in the evenings.
