Let’s get right to it… I’m not going to Guatemala.
It’s a wild ride, this life.
A month ago I was gung-ho, ready to jump on a plane when our trip was postponed due to the bad weather. Oh, well… it just wasn’t time. And I knew… I know… God has greater plans for our time in Guatemala than any of us could imagine.
And part of the great plan… I’m not supposed to be there.
He showed this pretty clearly by one simple sign: the money just didn’t come in.
And I could have been so disappointed. I mean, really, this was an amazing opportunity to travel again, to see a beautiful country, to worship my Papa with new brothers and sisters, to see more of His Kingdom come and more or His Will be done.
It would have been an extraordinary trip. But, you know what? My week is going to be extraordinary whether I’m in Guatemala or America. My eyes are being opened to the Kingdom more and more everyday and He’s showing me how extraordinary He is… even in the ordinary life I live.
I may have an ordinary week, but I’m not an ordinary girl. I’m a Daughter of the King of all Kings, the Creator of the universe. This Kingdom I’m a part of is alive and coming more and more everyday.
Again I say, it’s a wild ride, this life… and I’m enjoying every second.
Cheers to living extraordinary lives in the midst of the ordinary.
Thanks to those of you who did donate to my trip. Though I’m not going to Guatemala, I am officially fully funded for the rest of my time in CGA! So thank you!
