Hey all! This has been one incredible weekend! The Lord has done some impossible things and provided abundantly! He has shown me His power and desperate need for Him!
Starting off fundraising, my heart was already in the wrong place. I was dreading the fundraising process and thought it was going to be a horrible experience. Right off the bat my focus was on myself. I kept catching myself asking, “God, how am I going to do this?” Not only was I looking to myself, I was doubting the Lord’s power. He had to slap me around a bit and let me know that I am incapable of anything without Him. My prayer quickly turned to “Your will, Jesus. God, if this is Your will, You WILL provide the funds. If it is not Your will for me to go on the World Race, please don’t provide the funds. Your will is best. Even if it hurts, Your will is best.” It’s amazing what the Lord does when we look to Him in obedience! God was not only molding my heart, but at the same time He was showing me the INCREDIBLE community of family and friends that I have around me. Yup, believe it or not, God didn’t enable us to do life alone. He enabled us to do life with others and to lean on HIM. So many people have been lifting me up through prayer and encouragement throughout this journey!
On September 23rd I had my first financial deadline of $5,000. Hitting this deadline would confirm my acceptance to the World Race. On September 16th I had $2,500, half of what I needed. It is impossible to receive $2,500 of donations in one week. YET, THE LORD DID THE IMPOSSIBLE AND PROVIDED ABUNDANTLY THROUGH MANY OF YOU! The Lord is showing me who HE is and how powerful HE is. ALL glory goes to HIM.
I had no idea how much the Lord would teach me in this process and that He would actually make fundraising a very stretching and enjoyable process!! Thank you all for walking alongside of me through this journey! The Lord is mightily using each of you in my life!! Much love!
My next deadline is approaching quickly and I will need to raise $10,000 by December. Please continue to pray with me through this process and consider how the Lord could use you:)
