Life. Life is easy. Life is hard. It’s constantly changing. It has many different seasons, just like my ol’ Kentucky home.
There is somethin about fall in the bluegrass that makes it my favorite. Crunchy leaves, football, birthday candles…what’s not to love? But…there are attributes I like about each season because they bring different cards to the table. If you wish away winter, you miss the hot cocoa and the BOGO blizzards at DQ because you are too busy day dreamin about Keeneland in the spring. It’s all about what you make of it.
In the last 23 years, God has put me through many seasons. I’ve been in thuderstorms with lightning when it seemed the rain was never gonna stop. I’ve been on sunny beaches with absolutely not a care in the world. And you know what? I’m thankful I’ve been through it all because it has made me who I am today.
I’m currently in a season that’s full of twisters and rainbows. And no, I don’t think we can blame global warming for this combination.
I’m confident in knowing God wants me here and I see that everyday. And I got no doubt in my lice free head that I can do it.
I’ve learned so many things about myself in the past 80 days.
As much as you try to prep for what’s coming next – you just gotta use your best judgment. Because at the end of the day, it’s impossible to know what the next day could hold.
So, the challenge is to embrace the season you are in.
Embrace the waves. Embrace the silence.
Learn how to wait and be patient in the works of God.
Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; free not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!
Psalm 37:7
