It’s 9am local time. I awoke two hours ago after a blissful 5 hours of sleep in an attempt to beat the shower traffic. I wanted to take my time this morning because travel “day” typically turns into travel “days“, making the eta of my next shower unknown.
Not only did I enjoy this shower because it’s the last for a few days, it was also priceless because it’s running water.
And it’s hot, running water.
After that I packed my bags for the 75th time this month (I’m pretty expert at it now).
And now here I sit, taking all the sights and sounds of Kuala Lumpur for the last time. We’ve been blessed to stay at this AWESOME hostel called PODS that just opened. If ever you’re in Malaysia, you need to come here!! The staff is incredible and the place is precious.
At 10 am we get a briefing on ministry in India.
At 11am we head to the airport.
At 6pm we leave for New Delhi.
And from there, who knows.
Yesterday I was really blessed and challenged at our time of squad worship. God shows up when his children get together! Another squad joined us that just got to Malaysia. This is their last month on the race, so we were eager to get any morsels of wisdom they were willing to impart. This was what stuck with me most: every moment is a moment of influence.
So as we travel today, the flight attendant and the convenience store clerk, and the train buddy and the cleaning lady and the teammate who’s really getting on your nerves…this is ministry. These are moments of influence. We’re always giving off something into the atmosphere.
Putting my wants, needs, annoyances…self…first is easy. Loving others first is Christ.
Philippians 2:3,4
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.”
And for your viewing pleasure…here’s a map of Malaysia and a little indicator of how many places we’ve been in month 4.
