The pain was in her eyes. As she spoke, every word was drenched in sadness, and the silent scream of desiring freedom from this prison. There she was. Trapped in the darkness. Clothed in shame, fear and sorrow. Her heart torn in two and patched with “love”. Walls surrounded her heart aching to be peeled down layer by layer. Desire to be seen and heard. Waiting to be truly loved and truly wanted. Here sat a woman alone and broken.

Standing tall she faced the battles. Chains to be broken. Lies to be replaced with truth. Worldly desires to be replaced with Kingdom deliverance. Empty love to be replaced with the soft whispers of her one true love.

Worthy. Worthy to be loved. Worthy to be seen. Worthy to be heard. Renewed. Free. Obedient. The pain in her eyes replaced with radiating joy. Her words saturated in love and kindness. Captivated by the love of her Father. Clothed in strength and dignity. Her heart cradled and mended by the hands of her creator.

Eight months later here humbly kneels a woman before me. As she washed my feet the slow soft weep escaped. Our eyes meet. Now I see the woman God has made her to be. I see the love shared between two sisters. I see a woman WORTHY and nothing less.
