For years I have been searching to find my place. Wondering who I really am and where I am supposed to be. Now thankfully for the World Race I feel my place in this life making more and more sense. My name is Hana Beth and this is my beautiful journey with finding myself.
I am 27 years young. I have worked for 9 years as a stylist/barber. I grew up in a small town on a farm in Illinois. I recently packed my entire life into a haul and moved to Florida. I have been “living the dream” for a year and a half now. White sandy beaches, emerald green sea, and sun on my skin. What more do you need in life right? I love where God has brought me so far, but I’ve always had the thought of I need more I want to do more but have never felt the right calling or felt the need to do something. Until the day my sister and I were facetiming and she had mentioned a woman in their church doing the world race. In that instant I KNEW that I just had to do the world race. I had never been more sure of anything in my life. I knew that God was calling me to the place I have been searching to be for years and that He is changing my life in big ways.
I have not always been a model of a “good” Christian, but that is what makes me beautiful in Gods eyes. He loved me at my darkest, Romans 5:8 nothing I can do or say will ever falter Gods unconditional love for me and for that I am forever blessed and grateful. Someone I loved dearly once told me that I could light up a dark room, and I know because of that God is going to use me in ways that I can not even dream of. I know I am going to have the ability to touch so many lives and change so many peoples futures. While that may be the scariest thought I have ever had I am also having faith that I will do amazing things.
I cannot wait to see where this journey with God and with my teammates will take me. One thing I do know as that I will be stronger and I will have touched so many people and my life will be forever changed. And I am excited!!! I can do all things thru Christ who strengthens me!!!
