So, I'm in Moldova now. Rassvet, Moldova to be exact. The people who live here haven't heard of it, its perfectly normal that you haven't either. We are living in a house with 4 rooms. The 6 girls (translator included) sleep in one room and David and I sleep in the other. The other two rooms are the kitchen and dining room. The outhouse is about 50 feet away from the house up a small hill and runs out the bottom into the neighbors yard (I'm sure they love us).

The stars at night are incredible! Picture a slab of black granite and then someone throwing a handful of flour into the air and it spotting all over the slab. Picture perfect- too bad an iphone can capture that for yall! Its warm in the day but not hot, the nights are chilly sometimes and the morning dew always wets our clothes that we set out to dry the night before. Food has been good so far, we have a two burner gas "range", more like a camping cooker than anything. Not very many lights in the house- so we use our head lamps a lot. To get water we have a bit of a walk to the well and lower a metal bucket into the ice cold water and pour that water into our own buckets. THAT water is used to cook, clean clothes, clean dishes, and shower with. Only one member of our team has braved drinking the water. I'll give you a hint; he's incredibly good looking and loves cold water. The water that we put into a jug above the shower "heats" during the day from the sun and we sparingly use it as we shower.

Other than the living conditions there isn't much more to say- We do a kids camp and run around with the little ones every day. Our off days are Saturday which was spent well yesterday by pouring concrete for a woman and her children who fed us some yummy beet and cabbage soup! (hopefully next Saturday we are going to a wine cellar to look at miles of underground roads and wine taste!)

Church today was long. David did a great job preaching about the rich young ruler! I washed my contacts feet and David washed mine. David and I shook hands after he washed mine. The contact kissed me- I guess I'm pretty good at washing feet!

you tie this huge towel around yourself on the waist and then throw the leftovers over your shoulder. Wash the feet in warm water, and then dry using the towel over your shoulder. Afterwards you tie the loose end to the person you just washed and then untie after they are tied in and throw your end over their shoulder. Wash. Repeat.

-Love y'all!
