Hey all!!!! Time here is FLYING by! Last Monday and Tuesday were our adventure days. We decided only what a team of girls would decide. Treat ourselves to a nice resort for the night right on the beach! We were able to sleep in a full sized bed, take warm showers, and have a breakfast buffet that happened to be filled with all of the foods we were missing! When I woke up in the morning I joined my friend at a table under a canopy because it was beginning to rain. A beautiful rainbow appeared over the ocean. Then it was gone. And it returned every time one of our teammates came out. After a very rough week, we’re looking at that rainbow as a reminder of God’s promise to us that he is using us for good, no matter how discouraged and exhausted we were feeling. That rainbow showed us that God loves us. We spent the morning after breakfast on the beach and in the pool before checkout. We had some travel complications and ended up staying in a hostel Tuesday night! That was a new experience. We got all girls rooms and were treated to a cold shower, which was a blessing since we were all sunburnt! We woke up the next morning and headed back to the farm. Our last morning at the farm we were reading in Genesis 28. It talks about Jacob taking a rock to the alter and anointing it with oil as a memorial to God. We picked our own rocks and took them to the alter on top of the mountain. We prayed over our rock for it to represent us and asked God to do something in our life only He can do. Our host then anointed all of our rocks with oil and prayed over them. It was such a powerful and moving experience. I believe rain represents blessings. As soon as we got our rocks, while we were walking up to the alter, it began to rain and after we all got back it began to pour. It was so beautiful and reassuring that God knows our hearts and wishes and desires and that he heard our prayers and promises to fulfill them. After lots of sad goodbyes, we are now at our new location! It is in the middle of the jungle, but only a 5 min drive from the beach! It’s SO beautiful! We will be doing a different type of ministry each day. My favorite so far is trash ministry on the black sand beach! Today we went to church and headed to town for smoothies, pizza, and some beach time! Our team has continued to be blessed by comfort, peace, and encouragement from the Lord while we miss our friends and family. Thank you for your prayers! We have a little under 2 weeks left in this beautiful country. Please pray for our travels and ministries for the remainder of the time and travels back to Georgia for team debrief! Thank you!!!!!
Love always,
Hallie
