Hey y’all! My name is Hallie Canada and I am 23 years old. So I know what you’re all thinking but no, I am not actually from Canada. However, if I had a dollar for every time someone asked me if I was I could probably fund myself on this trip haha.
I am graduating from the University of Georgia with a degree in Exercise and Sports Science. I am a huge fan of Georgia football and between the hedges is one of my favorite places to be during football season.
Athens, GA is a wonderful place and I am so thankful to have been able to call it home for the past 4 years.
I love my parents, brother and sister dearly and can’t image life without their love, support, and encouragement.
I have the greatest friends who challenge me and push me to be more like Jesus and I literally don’t know what I’d do without them.
Winshape Camps is my home away from home and the Cherokee Tribe will always have a special place in my heart.
I love laughing, meeting new people, being outside, riding horses, days spent at the barn, youth ministry, dark chocolate, long conversations with friends, cooking, Chacos, reading, road trips, concerts, Chick-fil-A, the idea of exercise (although the execution can be so so haha), sunsets, camping, Enos, the mountains, Gilmore Girls, hand written letters, summer, the movie The Good Lie, anything written by Francine Rivers, pictures, Sheldon Cooper, comfy sweaters, candles, words full of wisdom, Ben Stuart podcasts, green smoothies, flowers, star gazing.
I will always take the lake over the beach, the country over the city, and tea over coffee.
I am obsessed with country music, Harry Potter, and the TV show Friends and will geek out over them with anyone who will listen.
I am passionate about being unashamedly who you are, living life to the fullest, being fully present in each day and living with hands wide open. I think a little kindness goes a long way and that kid president was completely correct when he says that it’s everyone’s job to give the world a reason to dance.
Most importantly, I believe in Jesus. He is my life and apart from Him, I am nothing. I am his and he is mine. I believe that even on my best days, I still need Jesus as desperately as I do on my worst days. I believe in the unfailing love of God and the unending grace He extends to His children. I believe that God is joyful and just, kind and caring, a father and a friend. I believe God delights in the prayers of his people and is raising up a generation to radically change the world for his glory. I believe God owes us nothing and yet has given us everything and for that we should seek to praise and glorify him with every breath he gives us.
