Well, folks, month nine of the Race has come and gone. We leave Vietnam this morning to travel to Cambodia. I’m really sad to leave this city. This has probably been my favorite month as far as work goes. We visited orphanages, elderly homes, centers for disabled children, blind schools, cancer patients, a leper colony, and more. We’ve met so many amazing people that will stay in our hearts forever. Here are a few pictures from the month to enjoy.

Please continue to lift up the country of Vietnam. They’re seen hard times, and Communism plays such a large role in lives of the young people here. Most of the college students we hung out with felt like they had no control over what their future would look like. Parents choose what career path to take, which often leads to hopelessness about the future. We’ve made amazing friends here, some of which are transferring to the States for school in the fall. Yale and Troy! Roadtrips will be in order.
To be honest, I’m less than thrilled about next month. We will be in a village called Kampot. There will likely be no internet, so I apologize in advance for the lack of updates. We’ll be sleeping on the floor, taking bucket showers, and enjoying a squatty potty. Apparently it’s even hotter there, and there’s no air-conditioning. We’ve been spoiled this month, so it’s making the transition difficult. Dog is apparently a delicacy in Cambodia, so that frightens me. Since I won’t be able to show you myself, here’s a video a former team posted to give you a tour of our future home. Only two months to go…thank you for your continued support!
