The past few months have completely flown by. Training camp is just three days away. I will finally be meeting the people I will be spending the next year with. There are about 90 World Racers signed up for the August race right now, and that doesn’t even include squad leaders. We’ve already been divided into two large teams, but at training camp we will be assigned to our “family” team, consisting of 6-8 people. Training will last ten days, and we will be pushed to our limit physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. I won’t lie, I’m nervous. I’m nervous about meeting everyone, nervous about the challenge I know it will be, nervous about all the details I need to take care of between now and August, etc. I still ask myself why I’m doing this. I don’t expect this experience to be easy, but I do expect God to be faithful. Speaking of faithful, here’s a financial update.

As you can see, I’ve received about 60% of the needed funds for the trip. I’ve been overwhelmed by the generosity of people. However, there is still a goal to continue to press towards. If you did not receive or lost your support card but would still like to make a donation, you can make a secure transaction by clicking the “support me financially” link to the left. No donation is too small, every little bit really does help! Your support is very much appreciated.

Above all, I ask for your prayers. Training camp is going to be intense, and I think it’s going to set in that I’m actually doing this. It’s rather overwhelming. Feel free to subscribe to my blog to stay connected. Until next time…
