Back again with what I call the daily jot! This is what some of my days looked like this month. Hope it gives you a better idea of what my life is currently like!

What a beautiful morning! It’s a ministry day. My team is cleaning the pool out today. Most of our ministry this month has been cleaning and construction around the ministry site. The rest of the day was pretty chill. A bunch of us went to the basketball court to watch the americanos play. Oh we also had cake and hot chocolate for dinner. It’s actually a torta, it’s not cake but in America it’s cake.

We are heading to experience the kids center that Hope4DR has in place. Brits team and my team are together. Flower power!! I met his adorable little boy and I was so glad he wanted to be my little buddy for the today! His stank face might just be better than Mine.

Today was Courtney’s birthday! We had a meeting with Brits team to plan for going to the kids center on Monday. Then the rest of the day was ours to do what we wanted with. The team had a really honest check in. Which lead to a prayer circle for each individual. Later in the afternoon we played basketball for courts bday. I actually played. I was terrified and hated it the whole time. But I wanted to try it. And now I can say I played with the ballers of r squad (shoutout to Anna, Tim, Greg, and Alisha). At night it was the start of the all night prayer burn.

It was such a sunny day! It was amazing! My team started off with morning bible study. We are still in the book of John. I’m really proud of our dedication to get up and study the word together every morning. The day was pretty chill. I actually decided to take a shower. It might surprise you but after 13 months on the field showering isn’t a priority for the most part. And I try to avoid it. Later in the evening we had all squad game night. We played family feud. It was so much fun!

We worked so hard today. We were back on the wood sorting and moving project. And it finally was a clear sunny day. Praise to that. I spent most of the day underneath the house, crawling around in the dirt and goat poop. One of the more dirtier jobs on the race for sure. But we did it! The wood is all sorted by size and type. It multiple off the ground piles. My organization loving self was very happy!

We had our own church today. Some worshiping together as a whole. Then the rest of the day was left for us to invest and be intentional with one another. Our squad leader did a team time about personality types with us. It was so interesting. I want to learn more.

Went on a run with Naomi. Did about 2 miles. Dodged the puddles because it rains every day, like pours. Throughout the entire day. So we will see how projects go this month. The rain will make it challenging. It think it will give us major opportunity to be intentional with one another. Food is cooked for us. My team was on kitchen duty. So we help prep and then wash all the dishes. We eat of rice and beans for lunch again. And then plantates and sausages for dinner.

Blaire was baptized today. We all went to celebrate this! Naomi and I did a little shopping. I found sunglasses, she found a pretty ring. And she danced with a store owner while I paid for my purchase. All the alumni team leaders went to lunch together. It was nice to catch up. We got locked out of our room for like 5 hours. So we just hung out. I took a nap in Brits bed. Thankful for friends.

Thanks for reading! Also, I will be home in just about 5 days. Which is crazy. Hopefully I’ll post a final blog once I return to the United States. Thanks for following my journey!
