About Me

Hi friends! This is my first attempt at blogging so here it goes… I was raised in a small town in Northern Alabama by some awesome Christian parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts and uncles, and cousins. I was a pretty normal kid growing up, always trying to figure things out, and usually learning all of life’s lessons “the hard way”. I graduated from high school in 2005 and just graduated from Birmingham-Southern College in May with a degree in Business Administration. I enjoy anything outdoors…my favorite food is Vietnamese…I love most sports but manage to be exceptionally bad at all sports I enjoy…I love children…I am loud and full of energy and am always up for new experiences.

I was baptized as a young child and had accepted Christ as my savior but battled over whether I was truly a “Christian” until a couple of years ago. Over the past two years, God has really revealed Himself to me through His word and now He is not just my savior, but also the Lord of my life whom I share a personal relationship with. I have always had big dreams for my life and figured I would conquer the world via “corporate America”; however, God had a plan for me that is much larger than I could ever have imagined.

God has given me a passion for the lost and poor and I cannot wait to see how He is going to use me over the next year and a half! I am super nervous to know that I will be representing Christ to so many people over the 11 months I am gone but I am even more excited to see what He is going to do!
