“Haley, will you pray over her?” “Sure!” I responded. “God, I pray that you would heal her, that you would completely take away the pain. In Jesus name, Amen.” “Would you mind standing up and walking to see how the pain is now?” I asked the woman who I had just laid hands on. She stood up and said “The pain is gone! “Thank you for what you did,” she said to me. “It wasn’t me at all, it was all Jesus,” I told her. This was the very first day of ministry!

Before my team got to this country I knew that God was moving here and that He wanted to wreck some people’s lives! On the very first night that we were doing outreach He did just that. My team saw a lot of people healed and one person that we encountered decided to give his life over to Christ! However, that’s only the first day!

On the second day of ministry we went and explored the city. We met some people at a coffee shop who had worked with World Racers before and so they took time to show us where we needed to go to learn more about the city we are in. So we went. The first stop we went to was at an Angelican Church that is the oldest church in Southeast Asia. There we met Michael.

Michael is a retired journalist from Australia. Him and his wife moved here when he retired and they now volunteer at an orphange, a drug rehabiltation center and at the church. He told us other places to go in the city and gave us his number so that we could get in contact with him and hang out with him and his wife. We continued onward to our next destination which is wherever God wanted to lead us. The next place were two temples.

At these temples I watched as young and old bowed down to these false gods. It broke my heart. We walked through the entire temple and I just felt the Holy Spirit leading me to pray over it. I got my team together and we stood in a circle in the back of the temple praying over it and praying over the people. We then kept on walking and then we all stopped in this bookstore where we met Garreth.

Garreth was an interesting character. He started questioning us about what we were doing and why we were there. In the country we are in it is illegal to evangelize and so we had to be careful how we answered that question. When we told him all the places we have already been he would ask us if we were in certain cities. The one that got me was when he asked about Blantyre, Malawi! We tried to question him, but he kept dodging our questions. Before we left him he invited us back to sit and talk with him and he also told us all these super cool places that he would recommend us going. After we left Garreth we continued on our way down to the mosque.

At the mosque we sat and prayed for a while and just spoke freedom over the place. There were so many people that were going in and out of the mosque to pray. There is more to be said about the mosque later. After we got done praying we went back to our hostel to rest because we knew we were going to be out late tonight again talking with people on the street.

The night started off in prayer trying to figure where God was wanting to go. My group realized that He just wanted us to go. Shortly after we started walking we realized that He just wanted us to cover the place in prayer. That is what we did. Throughout the night God showed me a few things. As we first started out He showed me all the darkness that was all around the area, but He also showed me how the four of us were being lights for Him and that our light was spreading. There was at one point in time we were walking we were going down this somewhat sketchy area. I began praying for God to protect us and He showed me another vision of how there were hundreds of angels with swords surrounding us that were ready for battle. After we went down that road, we started toward the mosque.

This is the same mosque that we had been to before earlier in the day. All of a sudden as I was praying God opened my eyes. I saw the mosque layered with darkness. At that moment I began praying for God to flood that place with His presence and that His light would shine through the darkness. As I continued praying God then showed me how the darkness was lifting and His light was shining through. My group spent probably a good 30 minutes praying over that mosque.

Today 3 of us went out prayer walking and also spending time with people we had already met a couple days ago. We were letting God lead us as we were walking. We ended up at the bus station. We see a woman sitting and begging and all three of us looked at each other and said “Buy her food?” “Yes!” So we went around buying her food. As we were handing the lady some food I looked up and there were 5 girls about my age that were just staring at us with the expressions of wondering what in the world we were doing. When we handed the food to the lady we didn’t just affect her we affected all those who saw.

These past few days have been incredible and Spirit led. We have met so many wonderful people in the area! I am so excited for what God has planned this next month!!! It’s about to be a great month and God will wreck some peoples’ lives!
