Sometimes fundraising isn’t so fun, but it is so so worth it. I am blown away by the generosity of my friends and family, yesterday on the 11th of August I asked people to donate $11 to support my trip and together you all ended up bringing in almost $700 in ONE DAY. That’s amazing to me and I pray that out of the overflow of your hearts, you are moved to contribute and support me going on this mission trip.
This isn’t a vacation, I am leaving everything I know and everyone I love to live a life of simplicity and rely on the provisions of The Lord. Learning to see the goodness of The Lord in the land of the living, with a team that is becoming my family. After the donations from the 11th go through, I will still have about $3,000 to raise by August 21. Below are the fundraising goals that we have to meet in order to go and continue on with our race. Before I can even launch, I need to reach that $10,000 mark. Any little bit helps and it adds up. There is an option of deferring to a later route that leaves in January, but I know this is where The Lord has called me, with the family I have made over the last few months.
If you feel led to give, even if it’s $10, that’s a meal out, or a movie, or a cup of coffee (or 2) ANY LITTLE BIT HELPS. I pray that The Lord blesses you ten-fold for the sacrifices you may make on my behalf.
Here are the deadlines for my Fundraising goals:
$10,000 – Due 8/21/2015 (Fundraising Goal 2)
$13,000 – Due 10/31/2015 (Fundraising Goal 3)
$16,267 – Due 12/31/2015 (Fundraising Goal 4)
Please Note: Online deposits can take up to 4 days to process, checks up to 2 weeks to process. In order for me to reach my goal for August 21, online donations need to be made by Tuesday, August 18th.
