It’s officially been a week here in Trujillo! The days were long and the week was fast. I think that will be a common pattern this year. This month is so different from last for so many reasons. For starters, our entire squad is now living and working together. Last month we were matched up with another team, but we were only living with one other person, and we were living far from the ministry sight, all scattered throughout El Alto and La Paz. This month we are living at our ministry sight on the second floor. Also, the food situation is quite different this month. Last month we were spoiled because our host families made us three BIG meals a day, whereas now one team cooks for the entire squad. It’s pretty neat how drastic the months can change, but it will definitely keep me on my toes!

We have partnered up with Savage Ministries. We are helping to expand their school, creating new classrooms and a better school space. We will also be helping with miscellaneous chores and painting. This past week was Vacation Bible School and we averaged 100 kids a day! Tomorrow we are having a big fiesta for the kids and doing an alter call at the end, so hopefully we see some kids come to Christ! On top of this, we also rotate preaching, so various teams go to local churches to preach three times a week, which is so  neat to see my peers getting up there and sharing what they know.

I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the rest of the month. The kids that attend the school start back from winter break on Monday, so I’m really excited to get to see them. I can see God already doing awesome things this month!
