Seven days from now my team and I will be leaving all that is familiar to us and embarking on a pilgrimage around the world. I am getting excited and ready for the challenges and growth God will bring about this year, not only for my life, but my team, the people we will minister to, and all who are supporting me and allowing this trip to happen for me. Challenges and growth are not just going to begin once we land in Thailand, but they have already been occurring over the past week of training in Gainesville, Georgia. I am excited to share my experiences with you, knowing God will use my experiences to encourage, challenge, convict, and bring joy to those reading. Though being transparent to the world is terribly frightening to me, I see God breaking these fears. God gave me a verse yesterday when I was feeling fearful and nervous of being an open book to the world. The verse was an encouragement to me and is what I hope to convey over this next year in my blogs.
“For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified… My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on men’s wisdom, but on God’s power.” 1 Corinthians 2:2-4
