I am 22 years old and God has blessed me with a wonderful family, life-long friends, and a love for life. I grew up near Dallas, Texas, with my mom, dad, and older brother. I am very close to my family, except when my brother frustrates me as any brother tends to do! I love spending time with my parents and appreciate their love and support more each day.

My all time favorite movies are Moulin Rouge and Forrest Gump. I love to snowboard, the sound acorns make when you crunch them, and the colors turquoise and brown when they are together. I just graduated from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas with a degree in psychology.

I have never been the type who loves the spotlight or who knows all the celebrity gossip. I can listen to song lyrics hundreds of times, but for some reason can
never remember the words. However, I
can remember almost every story or experience a friend has shared with me. I love to listen, and choose to hear about someone else’s life before sharing about my own. I love a friend who knows me so well they can tell when I need someone to listen to me.

My parents taught me the importance of a Christian walk from an early age. I became a Christian at the age of 5 so I don’t remember a life without Christ. By the seventh grade I started to understand what it meant to have a relationship with Christ. I have pursued Christ ever since. I was very active in my church youth group and also my local college ministry. There have been bumps along the way where I stumbled, but the Lord has had his hand on me, and my desire is to stay in His perfect plan for my life.

I am thrilled to be going on the World Race in September! God has been leading me toward missions for several years now. My desire to minister to the lost and brokenhearted has increased during short-term mission trips to work with orphans in Latvia and to the lost in Costa Rica. I believe God will use The World Race to radically challenge and change me. What an opportunity to minister to so many of God’s people across the world!
