I know this is long overdue and very short but there are truly no words good enough to describe what the Lord did at training camp..
I can’t explain in words what happened at training camp that week,
All I know is God’s face I came to seek
So much happened in such a short time,
He spoke to me over and over “child you are Mine”
I’ve never felt the Lord so near,
He broke down walls through every shed tear
Things were brought to light that I didn’t know,
God broke all of those chains and said “child you are free to go”
So many emotions came and went,
But in the presence of the Lord our time was spent
Satan tried to push in from every side,
But the Lord kept whispering “child move forward and in Me abide”
He used people I had never even met,
To speak truth over me and in the new path He had set
He used Dura to bring things to light, speak truth, and show His love,
Unconditional love that is sent from above
He used Derek to speak words that opened my heart from things left unsaid and undone,
A new work in me has only begun
I’ve never felt so much love and community with in a group of strangers,
The Lord told me it was okay to be vulnerable because with these people I’m not in danger
Community was planted and lovingly grown,
Through every bit of it the Lord’s love was shown
Sharing everything was the normal,
Nothing about this experience was formal
Sharing food, sleeping bags, clothes and even our toothbrush,
It taught us how through any trial forward we should always push
We learned to survive with next to nothing,
This experience was eye opening and everyone took away something
The worship was amazing and literally brought people to their knees,
Everyone’s eyes were opened in some way and now so much more we can see
Team bonding and building were the best,
We were taught no matter the struggle in God we can rest
The intense feedback, vulnerability and honesty was real and raw, The realness and authenticity of everyone we saw
I walked away from this experience completely changed,
My love and knowledge of community is in a whole new range
I'm so thankful and blessed to be called to go,
To this entire world His love I want to show
Country to country we will travel,
Not knowing in each place what the Lord is going to unravel
We are going to experience and see things we’ve never seen,
We’re going to watch the Lord deliver people from satan's scheme
Healing and deliverance we will watch unfold,
Through us the Lord’s truth is going to be told
In saying all of this, I will close with,
Training camp was an experience no one should ever miss
You learn community, love, and so much more,
Your heart will be transformed to the core!
