Honduras- There really are not words to describe this place. Peace. Joy. Patience. Love….True, unconditional, authentic LOVE. Hands and feet of Jesus.Truth. Family. THIS PLACE IS BEAUTIFUL!!! Ihis place we are staying is the perfect picture of Jesus! This is real ministry- THIS IS HOW WE ARE CALLED TO LOVE LIKE JESUS!
The place we are staying is called Zion’s Gate. My team and I are building pathways throughout the camp and doing house visits in the afternoons. We have been able to go into people’s homes, pray with them, share Jesus with them and just fellowship. This ministry has shown us what it’s like to live the life Jesus has called us to live. I’ve never seen a ministry walk in such LOVE. There seriously are no words to describe it except JESUS IS WALKING IN THIS PLACE. He is here. This place is so so beautiful and being used to bring in boys off the street. They feed them, give them a place to stay, show them Jesus, and show the perfect picture of the love from our heavenly Father. I know I keep saying LOVE but that’s exactly what it is here. The love of JESUS everywhere.
As soon as I walked off of the bus here after hours upon hours of traveling, I felt the biggest wave of peace hit me. The Lord spoke to me and said- This is family, this is community, this is me. We have been treated like family from the moment we walked off the bus. Its such a beautiful picture of how the Lord has called us to live with our own family as well as with our brothers and sisters all around the world. These sweet kids that don’t even know us and weigh not an ounce over 60 pounds wouldn’t even let us carry our bags. They hauled them all in, served us dinner, welcomed us with arms wide open- hugs- great big hugs and huge smiles to strangers they didn’t even know. This is so how the Lord desires for us to live. PSALM 133 HOW GOOD AND PLEASANT IT IS WHEN GOD’S PEOPLE LIVE TOGETHER IN UNITY. This month so far has been the perfect picture of unity, community, family and straight up LOVE from Jesus.
This month has been nothing less than a beautiful picture of the Lords grace and mercy and a reminder of how great the Father’s love is for us. It’s all about love love LOVE.
I’ve seen your face Lord on stained glass, colored lights and pictures of you looking into the sky. You’ve been portrayed a 1000 different ways but my heart can see you better than my eyes because its love that paints the portrait of your life. The face of LOVE… you look more like love everyday. I’ve read your words in the pages of your life and I’ve imagined what you were like and I may not know the shape of your face but I can feel your heart changing mine and your love still proves you are alive.
