Yesterday I contacted our setup guy in Haiti and asked him to check some of our details and be sure that we are communicating everything to you all. Here’s the answers to some of your most asked questions:

1.     Food. Will they cook for
themselves or have someone cook for them? Do they need a mess kit, nalgene,
coffee mug, or is that provided? Will they need to bring a cook stove with
them?
    1. Teams will
have food prepared for them by ministry hosts with the exception of one
location at the moment, which will have only dinner prepared. ALL teams
will have a kitchen available for use. I do not anticipate them needing a
cooking stove.  They will need a nalgene and mess kit (just basic
plate/bowl, spoon/fork, and a knife is always a good thing to have.)
Coffee mugs or thermos would be a good idea as well if they enjoy
      their coffee.
2.     Transportation. What kind of
transport can they expect each day? How much walking? What other kinds of
transport will they have, for example to and from the airport and to and from
debrief?
    1. ALL teams
will be on site at their ministry locations so the places they will be
ministering will be within walking distance.  If a team does travel
to a different spot, there is public transportation available for fairly
cheap. From the airport, I will be driving and coordinating transport
with the team vans that we have. I will be bringing them to the STM team
house at the beginning of the month for briefing.  At the end of the
month, we will also be arranging transportation to get the teams back to
the team house with our vehicles.
3.     Laundry. Hand wash or facilities?
    1. As far as
I know, laundry will be hand-washed by participants.  At some of the
ministry sites I believe they have someone who can wash clothes but it
will cost money, which can be used out of their personal funds if they so
      choose.
4.     Money. Debit cards or bring US
Dollars?
    1. Working
ATMs are nearly impossible to find, so if people are bringing personal
money, I would suggest bringing US dollars to either exchange or use
themselves as they do accept USD.
5.     Dress code. Regular WR dress code?
Do they need skirts or ties for church?
    1. Standard
WR dress code would be appropriate.  At church, however, guys should
wear pants and a button down shirt, no ties necessary.  Girls should
definitely wear skirts for church.  Modest dress is always
      appropriate.
6.     Will you check the packing
information and make sure everything is accurate?
    1. I would
say shorts are okay for guys (shorts need to touch their knees for
girls), but they will need pants for church and even sometimes other
ministry. Maybe some snacks, they may want to pack protein bars,
trail mix, or other small things to get them through the days sometimes.
