in the past few phone calls, I realized that some of you may not have realized there is information about what to pack. check this out so you can see all the information about packing.
The most common question I am getting right now is about tents. YES – YOU NEED A TENT. You will be sleeping outside within a walled compound. Tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad would all be a good idea. A mosquito net may be nice, but is not necessary as long as you keep your tent zipped up.
As far as clothes, shorts that come down to your knee are fine, pants of any sort are fine, skirts are necessary only in ministry situations. You should have some nicer shirts for ministry, but mostly t-shirts are fine. Tank tops are fine in some places if they have wide straps. Other locations may not be okay with any sort of tank top. If you choose to bring tank tops, please bring alternatives as well. Personally, I would not waste the space packing tank tops.
