Haiti Relief team!!!
My name is Cristie Reiter and I’m from South Carolina. I am so stinkin’ excited to meet you guys and serve along side you in Haiti! God has amazing things in store for our team…I just know it! 🙂 I’ve been reading some of y’alls bios and praying over our team and sometimes I feel like my heart is jumping up and down inside my chest. My excitement keeps growing and growing. (Sounds silly, right?) I know the Bible says to be anxious over nothing, but sometimes I just can’t help it!! 🙂
Hey, I was praying over our teams the other day and I wanted to share something with you all that I felt like the Lord was giving me. He gave me the word…boldness!! I continued to listen and He began showing me visions of us praying over people, broken hearts healed, blind eyes opened, witch doctors coming to know the Lord, and supernatural moves of the Holy Spirit throughout the areas we were ministering. I began to get excited and say, “Yes, Lord!” and He calmly stated….boldness. He continued emphasizing the importance of our teams moving in unity, the power of the Holy Spirit and BOLDNESS.
And when they prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.
Acts 4:31
The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.
Proverbs 28:1
Later the Lord reminded me of a Scripture He introduced to me previously when I traveled on the World Race. It’s Isaiah 61…this chapter is full of power and truth.
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon us because the Lord has anointed us to bring good news to the poor, he has sent us to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified. We shall build up the ancient ruins and raise up former devastations, we shall repair the ruined cities, and the devastations of many generations…for as the earth brings forth its sprouts, and as a garden causes what is sown in it to sprout up, so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to sprout up before all the nations. Isaiah 61: 1-4,11
Will you step out and accept the mandate God is placing on our team? This trip is going to be incredible, life-changing, and I believe if we are willing to step out in boldness, God is going to move through us to impact Haiti in ways we can’t even imagine. Nothing is impossible with our God.
I pray that God covers you with His gracious love and surrounds you with His sweet peace in your preparations for the trip! I can’t wait to meet you guys!
