Training Camp……well, it’s insanely difficult to put in to words, but I’ll try my best, so here it goes.

I was out of my comfort zone the ENTIRE time. The whole week was spiritually, physically, and mentally draining. We had porta potties as bathrooms and had to take showers with a bucket…. Not to mention I’ve never even been camping. My ENO was a big blessing because I sat and slept in it every chance I got. Portion sizes for food were pretty bad, so we left every meal wanting more. So on an empty stomach we added in some workouts most days. (I survived though)

God did NOT fail to show up. I met people who challenged me in my faith. I was freed from things I didn’t even know were on my mind. My squad became family as we cried, laughed, and worshiped together. I had doubts that I wasn’t good enough for this trip, but I was reminded that every single one of us have a different relationship with our Father. I received endless encouragement from everyone I encountered. I became a daughter of the one true King all over again.

When we started doing team building, I had in my head that I did not want an all girls team. God completely wrecked my plan in the best way possible. I am so excited to spend the next 9 months with these crazy girls. We were told that our biggest strength could also be our biggest weakness, which was we all have very strong personalities. We decided to name our team, Team Meek, meek describes someone who has channeled their strengths into the service of God. We have great potential to be a strong team, but we aim to be humble and give The Lord all the glory.

“Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.” Matthew 5:5

“You’re blessed when you’re content with just who you are—no more, no less. That’s the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can’t be bought.” Matthew 5:5 Msg

I will never be fully prepared for what God has in store for me next year, but those 10 days definitely got me ready for the unknown. I have hit $10,000 financially and I still can’t believe it. I have received tremendous support and I am so thankful. My next deadline is August 22nd and I have to have $10,500. Please consider supporting me and continue to pray for my squad and I!
